Hanoi Motorbike Tour to Duong Lam Ancient Village – 1 Day

Duong Lam ancient village- After the recognition of Hoi An ancient town, Hanoi old quarter, Duong Lam village in Son Tay Town (some 60km to the west of Hanoi Capital) is the first ancient village recognized as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information.

After the decision of widening Hanoi of the Vietnamese Government in 2008, Hanoi becomes a very big capital city (around 3,345 square kilometers) and for tourists, it has more things to do in Hanoi, there are much more attractions with more traditions, and the countryside in the capital Hanoi. This one-day motorbike tour around Hanoi takes you to some famous pagodas in Hanoi in which there is almost no tourist and leads you through the countryside, rural areas where you can experience the real Vietnam or different Hanoi.

The tour starts at 8.30 or 9.00 AM when the rush hours have gone, we will motorbike to the west and after a 30-minute ride from the busy center we will make a turn to the small and quiet countryside road to Thay pagoda (a beautiful pagoda located between limestone mountain and natural green lake), then keep riding shortly to Tay Phuong pagoda – the pagoda is in the top of a small hill and is known as the one that has the most beautiful wooden statue carvings.

After having a full taste of the pagodas, we will keep riding a motorbike through the rural areas in Thach That district, crossing villages and rice paddies then we will be in Duong Lam ancient village at lunchtime. In the afternoon we will have a short walk around the village to visit some traditional houses of the Viet people, chat with the locals, and learn more about the very interesting culture of Vietnam.

At 3.00 PM, motorbike touring back to Hanoi center through the rice fields, along the Red River dike. We will finish the short but great motorbike trip in Hanoi at around 5.00 PM.
