This 12-day Ho Chi Minh city motorbike tour to Hanoi via the coastal towns and several sections of the trail on the way is the ideal way to learn about Vietnam's landscapes and glorious history. Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Mui Ne Beach

7:30 start from your hotel to our bike shop and we’ll ride along the picturesque coast. We’ll stop to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then continue riding to Mui Ne. You’ll have some free time in the evening before dinner with the group. We’ll stay overnight at a hotel in Mui Ne beach.

Day 2: Mui Ne Beach – Nha Trang Beach

After breakfast, starting riding from your hotel along the coast to Ca Na beach we’ll stop to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then continue riding to Nha Trang. You’ll have some free time in the evening. We’ll stay overnight at a hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 3 : Nha Trang boat trip

Taking a rest from the bikes we offer a boat trip to the 4 coral islands for swimming and snorkeling. Lunch on boat, return hotel around 4 pm. ( All water sports, drinks & some optional island entrance not included, and sharing boat tour )

Day 4 : Nha Trang – Tuy Hoa - Quy Nhon Beach city

Following breakfast, we ride out of Nha Trang and ride along Highway 1 on the bikes we ride to Dai Lanh Beach where we’ll have a beachside lunch with time for a swim in the blue waters. Afternoon ride on a coastal road snaking along the base of Da Bia Mountain to Do Ca pass to Phu Yen city. There will be some gentle climbs before we drop to the flats and finish our day on quiet countryside lanes that are a mix of tarmac and dirt, passing soothing rice paddies and peaceful villages. We then return to the highway and a short distance to Quy Nhon.

Day 5: Quy Nhon – Hoi An

Today we follow the coastal road to Tra O Lagoon, the largest wetland in Binh Dinh Province and also a principal food source for the locals. While rolling we also take in the sea breeze and spot tranquil fishing villages lined along the coastline. After lunch at a local restaurant, the ride continues to Highway 1 to Tam Ky, After a guided tour we continue riding along the coast, passing many picturesque fishing villages with their colorful boats. Riding along the beautiful beach to Hoi An. A major trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries there are 844 structures of historical significance and many vibrant shopping streets, the city is a must for you to wander around and absorb the atmosphere.

Day 6: Hoi An – My Son – Hoi An or a free day on your own to explore Hoian.

You are free This morning we riding to My Son, the ancient center of the Cham Civilization dating back to the 4th century. We then rode along scenic country back roads flanked by rice paddies, eucalyptus plantations, and relaxing villages. Later the road stretches away from the coast, offering stunning views of the ocean as we head to My Son, once Champa’s most important city, visiting the site, and although many of the temples were destroyed by heavy bombing, enough has survived the war to impress most visitors. After the historical tour, we get back to Hoi An. Afternoon free to explore Hoi An on your own. Lunch, Dinner is your choice.

Day 7: Hoi An – Hue

This is probably the beautiful ride of the tour, yet it is also one of the most rewarding. Starting from Hoi An brings us to the start of our ride along the beach to Danang, known to some as China Beach, an R&R destination for American troops during the Vietnam War. It will be a quick time to change your gears and start the climb up Hai Van Pass, a steady and uphill with exhilarating views of the coast. From sea level we climb up to 480 m before flying down a long and smooth descent After lunch we venture away from the main highway and cruise on a coastal road for 44 km to Hue via Thuan An beach the old capital of Vietnam during the Nguyen Dynasty.

Day 8: Hue City Tour – Night train to Ninh Binh

Today we explore the city by bike or maybe by car to the rich history left behind by the emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty. We start by riding directly from our hotel along the An Cuu (Perfume) River and head up to the 12th king of the Nguyen dynasty. After our visit, we continue to the Perfume River. We finish the ride today at the seven-story Thien Mu Pagoda, the tallest religious building in Vietnam. Built-in 1601, it has become the symbol of the city, and be sure to get a photo with the marble turtle! After refreshing ourselves and packing up before boarding an overnight train to Ninh Binh.

Day 9 : Ninh Binh – Cuc Phuong National Park

We arrive in Ninh Binh around 9:30 am (arrival time may vary). Following a short transfer to the local restaurant for washing up, bike fitting (Maybe we have a new fleet of bikes in the north), and an early lunch, we start riding through spectacular karst mountains towering over a blanket of rice paddies to the ancient city of Hoa Lu, the capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries. After touring the temples we continue to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s first and largest natural reserve to check into our accommodation at the park.

Day 10 : Cuc Phuong National Park – Hai Phong - DoSon Beach

We enjoy another ride to appreciate the park’s beauty, visit the primate rescue center, and head east on serene back roads through a sea of pineapple plantations. Today while riding you’ll notice the differences between North and South Vietnam ranging from crops, and villages, to clothing as we pass through countless lush greenery, lovely villages, and friendly locals. Today’s ride finishes just before we reach Highway 1 to Hai Phong, one of Vietnam’s major ports.

Day 11: Do Son  – Cat Ba Island

We rode to the pier to catch a ferry to Cat Hai island on Cat Ba Island. Located at the southern end of picturesque Halong Bay, the island is home to one of Vietnam’s most exquisite natural treasures, Cat Ba National Park. Once we get off the boat we rode more than 26 km on the island’s only road before enjoying lunch in town. In the afternoon you are free to explore the surroundings, beautiful beach, fish market...before spending the night on this heavenly island.

Day 12: Cat Ba - Halong  – Hanoi

We have a short ride early in the morning and head for a memorable ferry through majestic Halong Bay. With its towering limestone karts protruding from the emerald sea, Halong Bay is truly one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. Legend has it that it was formed by a great dragon that descended from the mountain into the sea. The ferry trip is rewarding after the long-riding expedition. Arrival Halong then we rode to Hanoi along the Duong River. Drop the bikes at our shop and transfer them by taxi to your hotel. End The Tour. Tour can start in Hanoi and end in Ho Chi Minh city.
