This 7-Day Northern Vietnam Easy Rider Motorcycle Tour loops through the country's most spectacular mountain passes, terraced rice fields, and ethnic minority villages. It is a demanding but highly rewarding route designed for adventure seekers riding with an experienced local guide (Easy Rider).Ride to the famous Dinosaur Backbone (Sống Lưng Khủng Long) Conquer the Khau Pha Pass, one of Vietnam's four greatest mountain passes. The road clings to cliffs overlooking deep, green valleys filled with paragliders.Climb the majestic O Quy Ho Pass, the longest and highest pass in Vietnam. Stop at the heaven's gate viewpoint to look down at the winding roads below...

Day 1: Hanoi to Ta Xua (approx. 200 km)   ( L , D )

Depart early from Hanoi. Ride past the emerald-green Thanh Son Tea Hills in Phu Tho province for your first scenic break. Stop for a local lunch in Phu Yen. From Bac Yen town, your Easy Rider will navigate a thrilling, steep 12-km climb up into the clouds. Check into a rustic mountain homestay, catch a stunning high-altitude sunset, and enjoy a traditional hotpot dinner.

Day 2: Ta Xua "Cloud Hunting" Exploration – Nghia Lo (approx. 110 km) ( B , L  D )

Wake up at dawn to hunt for the famous "sea of clouds." Ride out to the iconic Dinosaur Backbone (Sống Lưng Khủng Long), a razor-sharp ridge walkway surrounded by vertical drops Continue riding to Nghia Lo on the way overlooking the valley and descend slightly to a hotel in the peaceful valley.

Day 3: Nghia Lo to Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen (approx. 160 km)

Ride through remote H'mong villages and cross the Da River via a local ferry or mountain bridge.Arrive in Mu Cang Chai, a region globally celebrated for its jaw-dropping, sculpted rice terraces. Take a break at the spectacular Mam Xoi (Golden Rice Tray) viewpoint.  and: Tackle the legendary Khau Pha Pass, one of Vietnam’s "Great Four" mountain passes. It is an adrenaline-pumping ride featuring sweeping curves and expansive views over the Lim Mong Valley. Descend into the peaceful valley town of Than Uyen. Because it sits off the main tourist track, you will experience highly authentic local life. Relax at a local hotel and enjoy a quiet evening resting up for the final big climb.

Day 4: Than Uyen to Sapa via O Quy Ho Pass – Fansipan (approx. 110 km) ( B ,L, D )

Embark on the final stretch of your journey toward Lao Cai province. The road begins to ascend dramatically into the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.Conquer the colossal O Quy Ho Pass—the longest and highest mountain pass in Vietnam. Stop at the heaven's gate viewpoint to look down on the winding roads you just conquered. Take a cable car to visit Fansipan and back to station and ride to Sapa .Arrive in Sapa town late in the afternoon check into your local hotel, and celebrate your epic journey with dinner .

Day 5: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Va villages -  Luc Yen. 180 Km ( B , L , D )

Ride down from Sapa to visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages ( H’mong and Giazy people ) and then through palm forest to Luc Yen and stay in a Dao family who live in the Tay territory. It’s a great homestay, very typical of Vietnam hill tribes and the hosts are very welcoming. Overnight in Luc Yen.    

Day 6: Luc Yen – Vu Linh – boat tour afternoon. 80 Km ( B, L, D).

It’s a relaxing ride on a winding road with a nice mountain and lake view. We finish the day by noon at the village of the Dzao people, who are located on the Thac Ba lake bank. After lunch, taking a boat trip around the biggest man-made lake in Vietnam should be a wonderful choice. You will have a chance to see Halong Bay in the mountain area. Overnight in Vu Linh.           

Day 7: Vu Linh – Hanoi. 180 km ( B, L )

After breakfast, we cruise southeast on Highway 2 and then branch off to the sleepy town of Phu Tho. We follow the edge of the Red River along the dyke, almost to the point where it merges with the Black River after which they flow together to Hanoi. By now, we are very much in the lowlands of the delta plains and the north’s main agricultural areas. Harvest time here is a sea of activity. Crossing the Black River by a bridge, we pass through Son Tay and then return to Hanoi on the highway. Finish the best 10-day Vietnam best easy rider tour to the Northwest safely before rush hours.
