Day 1 : Hanoi to Pu Luong Nature Reserve
8:30 Am pick up from your hotel and We leave Hanoi via the Old Quarter, and follow the Red River southbound, to continue our way through the countryside. We continue our way to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. This truly is a hidden paradise, well-known for the rice terraces, vast forests, and Vietnamese watermills. We spend the night in Pu Luong, either in a homestay or bungalow.

Day 2 : Pu Luong Nature Reserve to Ninh Binh
Early in the morning, you can hunt for the best sunrise overlooking the famous Pu Luong rice terraces. After breakfast, we continue our way through the countryside to Ninh Binh. Early in the afternoon, we arrive in Ninh Binh, so we have plenty of time to explore the area. We drive to the Mua Cave Viewpoint, from which you have an amazing view over the impressive limestone mountain range. Next, we visit the ancient town of Hoa Lu. We spend the night at a hotel in Ninh Binh.

Day 3 : Ninh Binh to Tan Ky
In the morning, you can explore the magnificent Tam Coc – listed as UNESCO World Heritage – by boat. Next, we explore the original Ho Chi Minh Trail. The trail is a legendary and complex system of 1,600 kilometers of paths, roads, and rivers, used as a supply route during the Vietnam War. On our way to Tan Ky, famous for the “Tea Islands”, we visit a tobacco plantation and a rice paper factory. We spend the night in hotel.

Day 4: Tan Ky to Phong Nha
After breakfast, we continue our way on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. On the way, you will see fields of plywood drying in the sun. We’ll visit one of the plywood factories and see how rice paper is being made. We will spend two nights in a hotel in Phong Nha.

Day 5: Phong Nha Boat Tour
Since we have driven quite a bit over the past four days and the caves of Phong Nha are best explored on foot and by boat, we will leave the motorbike be today. By boat you can explore the Phong Nha Cave. Afternoon free day in Phong Nha. Explore lunch and dinner by your own.

Day 6: Phong Nha to Khe Sanh
We will drive over the Ho Chi Minh Trail with its spectacular views: lots of jungle, waterfalls and traditional villages of the Paco and Van Kieu. We will stop in one of the villages so you can see what the local life here is like. After a delicious Vietnamese lunch we drive over the Sa Mu mountain pass to the Khe Sanh army base, where impressive aircrafts are on display. We’ll have dinner and stay in a hotel in Khe Sanh.

Day 7 : Khe Sanh to Cua Tung Beach
After breakfast we drive to Ta Con, one of the airports used by American soldiers during the Vietnam War, and Camp Caroll, a former American naval base. We visit Truong Son National Cemetery, a cemetery for soldiers who fell during the Vietnam War. By crossing the Ben Hai (river) over the Hien Luong bridge we also cross the border between the former North and South Vietnam. In the afternoon we explore the Vinh Moc tunnels and drive along the coast to the beaches of Cua Tung, where we will spend the night.

Day 8: Cua Tung to Hue City
Today, we mostly drive along the coast, and see the fishermen at work. When we arrive in Hue we visit the Imperial City and the seven-story high Thien Mu Pagoda. In the evening you have time for yourself, so you can check out the local night market.

Day 9 : Hue to Hoi An ( or Da Nang )
We will leave Hue via the Tu Duc tomb, one of the most impressive tombs in the country. We drive along Thuan An beach to Highway 1 to Sampan, where people live on their boats and live off fishing in the largest lagoon in Southeast Asia. Via the Hai Van Pass- show Top Gear declared one of the most beautiful roads in the world! – we will continue to Danang Beach and then to Hoian. Check in your own hotel and say goodbye your team.
